    Why didn’t you cite the biggest difference between the two power steps? The AMP version plugs into the OBDII port so when the ECU senses an open passenger door, the power steps deploy. That’s nice, but it also means the AMP version includes the electronics necessary to “read” that signal on the OBDII port.

    The RC version uses magnetic switches installed on the 4 passenger doors. Not only does it allow access to the OBDII port, but it’s a simple solution not requiring the electronics that the AMP version does. Also I don’t know if the AMP version includes LED lights when the steps are deployed like the RC version does.
